Pneumatic tyre doubling / unpacking machine COT‑30

The COT-30 pneumatic tyre doubling/unpacking machine (tyre doubler) reduces the cost of transporting tyres by up to two thirds. 

KEY FEATURES

• It can double or triple car, suv, jeep and c-type tyres – it packs them one inside the other up to a maximum of 3-4 in a bundle.
• It has a tyre unpacking (undoubling) function, but it is very limited – unpacking packs of more than 3 tyres requires a tyre unpacker.
• Thanks to its compact design it is easy to move and does not take up much space itself.
• It is ideal for companies involved in exporting used or scrap tyres.
• This is the successor to our legendary COT-2 model – the world’s first machine of its kind, as confirmed by the patent

DRIVE

• It is a pneumatic machine, so a compressor is required to power it (not included with the machine).
• We recommend using a compressor with a tank of at least 200 liters (≈ 53 gallons).
• The required supply pressure is 9-10 bar (≈131 – 145 psi).
• It cannot operate when the temperature drops below 0 °C / 32 °F.

PYROLYSIS

This machine is often used by tyre pyrolysis plants, as packing the tyres into bundles allows more tyres to be inserted into the reactor without having to cut through them. This ensures that the intact steel wire is arranged in bundles, making it significantly easier to separate it from the soot and pyrolysis oil once the reaction is complete.
