We do not make COT-3 anymore but we still offer spare parts for it. It was replaced by COT-10
A COT-3 pneumatic tire tripling machine is used for doubling tires (packing them one inside the other). With this brilliant machine you can easily load around 3000-3200 tires into a 40ft container, which lowers the shipping cost even by two thirds.
KEY FEATURES
- This model is the direct authorized successor to the first machine of this type in the world
- It can make packs of 3-4 car, jeep or C-type tires 6 or more is also possible.
- You can make around 50 packs of 4 tires in an hour.
- It is safe for the operator and will not damage tires.
- It is controlled by buttons and works partially automatically.
DRIVE
- Similarly to COT-2 it is powered by compressed air (the compressor is not included with the machine).
- We recommend using a compressor with a tank of at least 200 liters (≈ 53 gallons)
- The required supply pressure is 6 – 9 bar (≈ 87 – 131 psi)
- It cannot operate when the temperature drops below 0 °C / 32 °F.
RELIABILITY
- Its design is more complex than that of the COT-10, so it requires more maintenance.
- For production we use only the highest quality components, so it can serve reliably for many years without the need for repair.
- It meets high safety standards and is CE certified.
- We offer a 2-year warranty and technical support for several decades.
SHIPPING
- We ship it to every country in the world.
- We produce it in our factory in Poland, so delivery across Europe is fast.
- A forklift is needed to unload the machine.
- For transport, we remove the upper actuator, but its installation is simple.
DIMENSIONS WITH HOUSING
- Height: 320 cm
- Width: 130 cm
- Length: 260 cm
- Weight: 584 kg
USE IN PYROLYSIS
This machine is often used by tire pyrolysis plants, as packing the tires into bundles allows more tires to be inserted into the reactor without having to cut through them. This ensures that the intact steel wire is arranged in bundles, making it significantly easier to separate it from the soot and pyrolysis oil once the reaction is complete.
The following are general rules for tripling tires. These are not rigid guidelines, as there are sometimes exceptions, which you should check yourself.
1. The table of the machine can fit a car, jeep or commercial tire with a maximum diameter of 22 inches;
2. The outer tire must be the same or larger in diameter than the inner tire (e.g. 16″ –> 16″, 18″ –> 17″).
3. Any tire that is less than 15 inches in diameter will need to be the last tire in the pack (the tire in the very center of the pack). It is impossible to fit another tire into a 14-inch or smaller tire because the jaws would be too close together and the vertical pusher would not fit between them;
4. The width of each tire into which another tire is inserted must be at least 10 mm larger than the tire being inserted (e.g. 215 –> 205).
